Who is West Sister Charter Fleet? West Sister Charter Fleet is a group of 18 Lake Erie fishing captains, each of which is U.S.C.G. Licensed, an Ohio licensed guide, and fully insured. Formed in 1980, they share one common idea; to provide their clients with the most enjoyable Lake Erie sportfishing experience ever.  They’re committed to fishing excellence, and they’ve strived to be the best at what they do, since day one.

What do they offer?
They offer fishing charters on Lake Erie for walleye, yellow perch, and smallmouth bass. Depending on your fishing preference, you can choose to drift & cast, or you can troll:

Drifting: You use a lure baited with a nightcrawler. You bait your hook, cast it out, and retrieve it. You feel the bite and set the hook yourself. You can use bottom bouncers, weight forward spinners, jigs, weapons, or many other types of lures and presentations to catch these Lake Erie walleye.

Trolling: Lake Erie fishing has never been more efficient. Precision trolling is a very productive method of getting fish into the boat. You can participate in as much of the program as you like. You can help set the lines, select the lures, and net the fish…NOT just sit there and wait for your turn. Trolling with these Lake Erie charters is very much a team effort.

Huge Walleye!

Each charter boat is equipped with the latest fish finding technology and navigational (GPS) equipment, and have all of the accommodations to make your Lake Erie charter a comfortable and memorable one.  Lake Erie is known for the best walleye fishing in the world, and these guys have the knowledge and expertise to make your day a fun and successful one. Because they are out on the water every day and in communication with one another, they are familiar with where the “hotspots” are on any given day, and they’re able to stay on top of the fish at all times. They have over three centuries of combined fishing experience, on Lake Erie or elsewhere. Take a more in depth look at each one of our fish charters at our charter captains page for more information.

Where is West Sister Charter Fleet docked?

They are docked at Meinke Marina West in Curtice, OH (near Toledo and just 25 miles west of Port Clinton, Ohio). Click here for a detailed map and directions to the marina. If you’re visiting us from far away, be sure to visit our lodging page for a complete list of accommodations available (some right down the road from the marina).
