Come and experience an exciting and fun day on Lake Erie with Captain Paul Pacholski aboard the NEW custom-built 30’ Erie Hopper. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or just a novice, I individualize each trip to fit your needs. My goal of any charter is to make sure that everyone on aboard catches fish and has FUN!

As a full-time, licensed captain and fishing guide for the past 25 years, you may have seen me as a regular on television with John Gillespie’s, Woods & Waters, or in articles in The Toledo Blade, Columbus Dispatch, or the Cincinnati Post. I enjoy teaching the very basics of fishing to novices and fine-tuning the techniques of the more experienced angler. For me, there is nothing more enjoyable than giving my customers the greatest fishing experience of their lives.

My new boat, the Erie Hopper, has a full 12-foot beam. The extra large back deck gives each fisherman plenty of room to move around. I use state-of-the-art electronics including the latest in fish finding, communications and Global Positioning satellite navigation equipment.

Charters and Rates

All trips are limited to 6 persons or less and are FULL 7-hour charters. (Larger groups can be accommodated.) Rates are all-inclusive. We provide rods, reels, lures, bait & ice. Executive trips are available upon request. $100.00 Deposit Required. Refundable with a three week notice.

  • 9-hour Walleye/Perch/Bass combination trips are also available during late summer and fall.

Rates are the same whether fishing in the Western or Central basins of Lake Erie. Western basin fishing starts in April and continues through August. Around September 1st, I move the boat to the Central basin.
